Environmental Health Indicators

Environmental Health Indicators provide information and statistics on how the environment can affect the health of New Zealanders. There are over sixty environmental health indicators covering eight themes or domains.

A further theme / domain of "Population information" provides context and identifies populations vulnerable to environmental hazards.

District Health Boards

District health boards (DHBs) are responsible for providing or funding the provision of health services in their district. There are currently 20 DHB's in New Zealand.

Territorial Authority

A territorial authority (TA) is a city or district council area. There are currently 67 territorial authorities in New Zealand consisting of 12 city councils, 53 district councils, Auckland Council and Chatham Islands Council.
